Automatic vs. Manual Activation

If you are activating the software on a machine that has a connection to the Internet then you should have the option to activate your Robo-FTP license online.

 

If the online option is disabled, then Robo-FTP is unable to contact the licensing server.  This could be for several reasons, but the most common causes are not having an Internet connection, a firewall issue, or being behind a proxy server that is incompatible with the online activation feature.

 

To begin the online activation process,

 

Select 'Activate License...' from the Help Menu.

 

Select 'activate my Robo-FTP license online', and click 'OK'.

 

Enter the Serial Number from your invoice or e-mail receipt, and choose 'Activate'.

 

If you encounter any response other than 'Activation Successful', you will need to submit a manual license activation request.  See Manual Licensing for further details.

 

Choosing the manual activation option will give you a choice of activating by email (recommended) or by fax.
