Configure SSL: Choose Certificate |
Top Previous Next |
The following popup window is displayed when you click the Choose Certificate button on the Configure SSL dialog in the Configurator. This window allows you to choose the default client-side certificate and private key-pair that Robo-FTP uses to negotiate SSL connections. Most sites secured with SSL do not require a client-side certificate. Contact the site administrator, or other responsible resource, to determine if a client certificate is required.
The certificate you choose may be issued by a third party Certificate Authority or you may have created it using the Create Certificate button in the Configurator.
A similar window is displayed when you configure a FTPS or HTTPS managed site to authenticate using a certificate and key other than the system defaults set on the Configure SSL menu.
Note: If you need to use a PKCS #12 certificate (extension .p12) for HTTPS uploads, specify the same file name as both the Certificate File and the Private Key File.
