By default Robo-FTP runs in a small window (called the console window) that allows you to type script commands for immediate execution and control script file execution via a simple user interface consisting of a menu bar and series of toolbar buttons. For information on entering commands into the console window, see Entering Commands in the Console Window.

Text displayed in the console window may be displayed in color. The colors are keyed to the meaning of each line of text.

When Robo-FTP is running in a window, the window remains open when script execution is complete, unless the EXIT script command is executed. This allows you to scroll back and view the output from the Robo-FTP session, or to restart the script file.
